Beliefs

Basis of Belief

Along with all the other mainstream churches, KRC believes:

  1. In the Trinity – one God in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
  2. That Jesus Christ is God’s Son. He became a man. He lived in perfect obedience to God, and by his death and resurrection brought salvation to humankind.
  3. That we are made right with God through a response of faith to God’s free love, which gives us forgiveness and new life in Jesus.
  4. That the Holy Spirit lives within God’s children to make them more like Jesus.
  5. That the Bible is God’s message made known to humankind, telling us about God and pointing us to Jesus, God’s living Word.

Mission Statement

During the early 1990s, the elders prepared a “Mission Statement”. This has now become the declaration on which the church life is based:

“Serving Christ together – making Him known to today’s world”
